Does it make me happy or sad?

To be perfectly honest and in the words of Brett Butler ‘ I couldn’t care a damn my dear’ It neither makes me sad or makes me happy .

Maybe this is because I am not an American.  I suppose that if I were then I would definitely have some kind of opinion. The old Space Shuttle has been around for a number of years but I have never taken any interest in it at all.

In fact the last thing I would ever want is for Man to settle upon a new planet. We have made such a muck –up of this one that I do not think that we should have the chance to let it be repeated.

When I told my Russian friend that America was leaving the Space Race to Russia and would not be exploring anymore strange places..He laughed and said ‘ never in a million years’.

So I suppose it remains to be seen as to who does what! I must admit I am of the same opinion as my Russian friend

  1. Great picture and post. As to the millions we spent for it, that I’m not going to miss being a tax payer but as to the experience of having to see it blast off to head to space, that experience I may never have the chance of seeing. I pass by NASA in houston 2 days ago and I was told the last shuttle was shipped off somewhere. I will still bring my son there to see the space exhibit and all but the dream of actual space traveling and all is but a history now. best wishes to you and your family.

I personally never had the dream of going into space, but I know so may did. “When I grow up, I want to be an astronaut!” won’t be heard in grade school anymore. Just another reminder that nothing lasts forever.
